Women and Child Development
Mother and Child Care:
Our organization is dedicated to advocating for Women & Child Care by promoting community engagement, resource sharing, and collaborative programs. We believe that raising awareness about social injustices—such as trafficking, child labor, sexual abuse, and domestic violence—is essential to ensuring the protection of women and children.
By educating communities and fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility, we empower individuals to recognize and combat these challenges. Our initiatives focus on informing and equipping women, young girls, and community members with the knowledge and resources needed to create a safer, more supportive, and well-informed society.
Empowering women: strengthening women entrepreneurs across rural India:
Women play a crucial role in both family and society, especially in rural areas, where they contribute significantly to agriculture and allied activities alongside their male counterparts. Recognizing the importance of women’s empowerment, Islamia Noor Mission has taken special initiatives to uplift and support women in its operational villages.
In five villages, including the central hub, a total of four Mohila Mondals (women’s groups) have been established. To ensure active participation, eight women organizers have been appointed to conduct regular meetings, where women discuss their challenges and collectively find solutions through group action. These meetings have seen enthusiastic participation from women across the villages, fostering engagement, discussion, and proactive involvement in community development programs.
To promote economic independence, the society has organized vocational training programs in:
- Tailoring and wool knitting, enabling women to start their own businesses after training.
- Agriculture and pisciculture (fish farming), where 50 and 55 women, respectively, received specialized training to enhance their livelihood opportunities.
Legal Awareness Programme:
The Humanitarian Research Foundation regularly organizes Legal Awareness Programmes to educate women and uneducated individuals about their legal rights and equal opportunities. These initiatives aim to:
- Empower individuals with knowledge about their fundamental rights.
- Raise awareness about laws related to women’s rights, child protection, domestic violence, and social justice.
- Ensure equal opportunities by educating marginalized communities about legal aid, government schemes, and policies.
