Relief Camp:
Humanitarian Reserch Foundation Relief team was on the ground immediately, providing much-needed relief to those affected in the remotest of remote areas, deep in the interior of villages in Paschim Medinipur districts. A quick needs assessment was done, and the team got to work providing much-needed medical aid through its Mobile Healthcare Units and distributing dry rations and other essential items for survival. Community kitchens were organized and over 250 meals were served in 04 villages of Medinipur District alone, to those who had no other means to access food. 500 elderly and their families received dry ration kits including rice, dal, spices, oil, sugar, salt, etc., and non-food item kits including Tuffpaulin (Tarpaulin covers), bed sheets, solar lights, plastic mats, bathing soap, washing soap, etc., as relief materials.
Social & Cultural:
Our Sanstha has profound belief that all economic activities will fall flat if the targeted people are not taken afoot on social & cultural direction. It, thereby, has vowed to upgrade their social & cultural standard through consistent efforts alongside economic activities. With that end in view, we have given due emphasis on schooling of children, functional literacy to their parents, training on ‘Valu Education,’ arts & craft, dance, drama, awareness programme on health & hygiene, family welfare, environmental pollution, and other related activities.
Road Safety:
Road communication has been a basic problem of rural India since independence. All sectors of the life of the rural community are affected due to a lack of adequate and accessible roads. Economy, health, education – everything is affected and hampered. During the rainy season, the situation takes a serious turn as muddy roads not only get slippery and inaccessible but also broken & and destroyed by erosion due to flooding. Islamia Noor Mission.
The Foundation decided to fight the problem within its limited effort as part of its total development initiative. The society undertook road repairing, rebuilding, upgradation, earthwork dressing, leveling, etc.
Help to Poor Family:
It is an important programme by which we try to organize the village’s poor people for development action. The Organization distributes cloth and blankets to poor men and women aged 60 years. This programme is funded by the organization.
