Health Education
Health Awareness Programme :
Health is wealth – the proverb goes on. So, if the health does not run well, wealth will be lost and reduced. Healthy people develop a healthy society. The people of the area, where the society is working, have no proper knowledge about health & hygiene and healthy habits. Hence, off and on, most people suffer from different types of diseases. They do not know how to tackle diseases and take preventive measures for developing good health as well as a healthy society.
Preventive Health Care:
Considering the above-narrated problem, the society has started preventive health care measures through massive awareness-building programmes. Several seminars, workshops, group discussions, dialogue, person-to-person discussions, etc., were intensively organised. b. Mother & Child Health awareness programme, prenatal and antenatal check-up of mother’s health, immunisation for the children, etc. Were Organized. A total of around 200 families were covered under their programmes & accrued benefits.
Besides the preventive Health Care Programme, some curative health care measures have been undertaken to prevent the spread of diseases.
Sanitary Mart In Preventive Health Care:
Construction of low-cost Sanitary Latrines has evolved to prevent disease- contamination of water, soil, and environmental pollution. It is a Nationwide Programme of Rural Sanitation launched by UNICEF in collaboration with the Central and State Governments. Our Sanstha has been actively participating in the programme for the last 2/3 years in four blocks spread over four districts by way of building up necessary infrastructure, holding group discussions, seminars, and training camps. In the whole process of social regeneration, we have involved Panchayet members, social workers, and employees of the line departments of the government. Motivators developed a congenial air of acceptability among the ultimate beneficiaries through a door-to-door awareness campaign.
Charitable Dispensary:
The Society is running a charitable Homeopathic dispensary with the help of a local Homeopathic doctor, who is a member of the Executive Committee of the Society. Every day, several poor people visit the dispensary to be treated. The dispensary is run by the little contributions of the local people and patients. In light of the price of allopathic medicine soaring high, end multiple side effects excused by these medicines, this dispensary is of immense importance. The society, despite its limited and very low financial capacity, is running a small rural health care center of its own with the help of an experienced medical practitioner, Arrangements have been made for anti-natal & post-natal care of the mothers, check-up and minor treatment of children but due to extreme meager fund full- scale treatment, proper investigations and supply of medicines are not possible.
Blood Donation Camp:
